HATC Attends Hong Kong Gold Exchange Launch
On July 18, 2025, HATC Group (Member No. 8 of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, HKGX) proudly participated in the inaugural board ceremony of HKGX and the 115th anniversary gala of the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society (CGSE). Mr. Sze Chong Hoi, Director of HATC, was invited to attend this landmark event, which was officiated by Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, and joined by senior government officials and financial leaders.

Chief Executive John Lee congratulated the newly appointed board members and emphasized the government’s full support for Hong Kong’s financial development. He encouraged stakeholders to transform the city’s strengths into opportunities for attracting more precious metals and commodities to be stored and traded locally.
Dr. Zhang De Xi, Chairman of HKGX, paid tribute to CGSE’s 115-year legacy, calling it “a symbol of trust in physical precious metals across Asia.” He described HKGX as an upgraded successor, combining CGSE’s trading foundation with modern governance and infrastructure.
Mr. Sze Chong Hoi highlighted the strategic importance of gold trading in global finance.
